The 410 closed Tuesday morning to repair a pothole
The Quebec Ministry of Transport (MTQ) will proceed on Tuesday to repair a pothole on the Maurice-Gingues Bridge in Sherbrooke, which will cause significant impediments on Highway 410 in the east direction.
It to repair the pavement on the bridge located on Highway 410 East over the Magog will begin at 9 am.
The work, which consists of repairing a pothole located at a joint on the deck slab, will require excavation and concreting, it says in a press release. These will begin after the morning rush hour, but the shackles will have to be maintained in the early evening to allow the concrete to freeze.
There will be one lane closure on Highway 410 eastbound. Traffic will be diverted into the shoulder and the width of the remaining track will be reduced to four meters. The Highway 410 east ramp will also be closed from Route 112 eastbound for Rock Forest users.
Since the work will not be completed during the evening rush hour, the MTQ is anticipating major slowdowns. Users are therefore encouraged to plan their trips accordingly and avoid the area if possible.
All the obstacles related to this site are available on Quebec 511.
