Fugitive crime in Bromont: police search for witnesses

The Bromont Police Service is seeking the public’s help in tracing a motorist who struck a cyclist on Sunday morning and never stopped to assist him. Witnesses of the scene are also sought after.
Thecyclist was driving on Bromont Boulevard at about 10:30 am when he made a left turn on Sherbrooke Street. At the same time, a vehicle traveling on Sherbrooke Street that had a mandatory stop to turn turned on the boulevard without respecting the priority of the cyclist and hit her.

The motorist did not stop to help him and immediately fled. The 44-year-old Bromont attended minor injuries. The paramedics intervened, but she refused transportation to a hospital center.

The police are looking for witnesses to the accident. They try to trace the occupants of a red car, possibly a Honda Fit, that was driving behind the vehicle that hit the cyclist.
