Bishop’s helps the Bahamas

SHERBROOKE – Bishop’s University Student Council will raise funds in the coming weeks to assist Bahamian students attending the institution. The archipelago was hit hard by Hurricane Dorian.
An emergency fund will be set up and part of the profits from the student council’s activities for the next two weeks will go into this fund.

Students who need money can contact Marilyn Hardy, Chair, at srcpres@ubishops.ca.

In addition, the music department of Bishop’s University will give its first concert of the session on Friday and all proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Friends of University of the Bahamas. The money will be used for the restoration efforts of the University of The Bahamas campus.

Finally, the university student council invites everyone to donate via the red cross at www.redcross.ca.
