Arrested for a sexual assault in a hairdresser

A man was arrested in Magog for a sexual assault in a hair salon.
Lhas Memphremagog Police Authority (RPM) has received a complaint on August 15 occurred the day of sexual assault.

“The suspect held very explicit conversations of a sexual nature. He then indulges in touching of a sexual nature on the hairdresser. By the way, he makes sure to get a business card from the hairdresser he keeps in his possession, “says Sylvain Guay, a lieutenant at the RPM. “The investigators from the Memphrémagog Police Board deployed the necessary energy and obtained a robot portrait of the man unknown to the complainant. Finally it was possible to identify a suspect and his address in Magog. ”

On Friday, the RPM investigators and patrol officers arrested the suspect at the Union Hotel in downtown Magog. The search of her room resulted in the seizure of clothing and business cards from Magog, South Shore and Montreal area hairdressers, Guay added.

In all, nearly a dozen cards were seized.

“The 48-year-old man, Magogois for about six months, was kept in custody for a court appearance Monday morning at the Sherbrooke courthouse. During his appearance, Stéphane Édouard Pratt was formally charged with sexual assault and harassment, “he says.

“Following this appearance, the judge ordered his detention until Friday, September 13, for his application for release. ”
